Leo Lin vs Rob Skupien

Boxing Daily Report from the AI USA-Illinois promoted show at Kieran Smolak Gym, Joliet,  taking place on 02/04/2026:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the USA-Illinois Super Middleweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Leo Lin (2 - 19(1)) who hails from Chicago, USA and Rob Skupien(3 - 11 - 2) from Chicago, USA.  Both Lin and Skupien weighed in at 168 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Alen Valentine, and the three ringside judges are Will Cockburn, Mark Terres and Will Girvin.  

Round 1: 

Skupien closes the distance.  Skupien pivots from in front of his opponent and connects with a right hook.  
Lin attempts to land a jab, but Skupien slips the shot and counters with a left hook.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Lin's trainer is advising how he could be more accurate.  Lin's trainer is telling his fighter he needs to be more active or he's going to get outworked.
