Russell Rees vs Marcus McGregor

Boxing Daily Report from the Papafio Promotions promoted show at Daniel MacDermott Gym, Boston,  taking place on 02/04/2026:

Clearly Papafio Promotions have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the USA-Massachusetts Super Featherweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Russell Rees (12 - 6 - 1) who hails from Boston, USA and Marcus McGregor(11 - 3) from Worcester, USA.  Both Rees and McGregor weighed in at 130 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Bart McWethy, and the three ringside judges are Bart McWethy, Sam Evans and Nathan Burt.
