Mitsuru Amano vs Aoi Sugita

Boxing Daily Report from the Gold Coast Promotions promoted show at Yoyogi National Gymnasium, Tokyo,  taking place on 30/05/2026:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  On the line tonight is the Asia-Oceania Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on TV Tokyo, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Mitsuru Amano (18(4) - 1(1)) who hails from Sakai, Japan and Aoi Sugita(15 - 7(4) - 1) from Nagoya, Japan.  Both Amano and Sugita weighed in at 147 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Yasushi Shishido, and the three ringside judges are Satoshi Fuse, Hiroki Amaya and Ichiro Tsukamoto.
