Haider Akram vs Atif Awad

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Malaysia-Sarawak promoted show at Kuching Sayed, Kuching,  taking place on 01/05/2026:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Malaysia-Sarawak Super Bantamweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Haider Akram (11 - 5(1) - 3) who hails from Kuching, Malaysia and Atif Awad(6 - 3 - 3) from Kuching, Malaysia.  Akram weighed in at 121 pounds and 13 ounces, while Awad weighed in at 122 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Abdul Hashemi, and the three ringside judges are Sajid Sheikh, Farhan Salim and Waqas Ayoub.
