Hiro Kurata vs Iwao Hirabayashi

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Japan-Fukuoka promoted show at Shojima Gymnasium, Kurume,  taking place on 04/05/2026:

Clearly AI Japan-Fukuoka have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Hiro Kurata (16(3) - 1) who hails from Nagoya, Japan and Iwao Hirabayashi(11 - 4 - 2) from Kawasaki, Japan.  Kurata weighed in at 226 pounds and 5 ounces, while Hirabayashi weighed in at 246 pounds and 9 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Kazuki Shimoda, and the three ringside judges are Hisao Kamei, Akira Oshita and Ryo Hora.
