Fillipo Arrighi vs Michael Chaconas

Boxing Daily Report from the Gold Coast Promotions promoted show at Gold Gym, Brisbane,  taking place on 18/04/2026:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 6 round matchup are Fillipo Arrighi (7 - 0) who hails from Melbourne, Australia and Michael Chaconas(8 - 10(1) - 3) from Melbourne, Australia.  Both Arrighi and Chaconas weighed in at 175 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Billy Pryce, and the three ringside judges are Inigo Craigen, Inigo Craigen and Brendan Moultrie.

Arrighi feints a right hook, but Chaconas is not fooled and lands with a left hook.  
Arrighi is looking to keep the action on the outside and lands an overhand left, cross and a jab to his opponents head.  
Chaconas pivots to the right of his opponent.  Arrighi lands a left uppercut to the body followed by two jab's to the head.  
Arrighi is looking to keep his distance and drives a cross into Chaconas's body.  
Chaconas lands a jab.  
Arrighi tries to step out of his opponents range and is on target with a sharp cross.
