Boxing Daily Report from the AI South Korea-Daegu promoted show at Daegu Jon, Daegu,  taking place on 30/04/2026:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the South Korea Super Middleweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Star Sports Korea, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Hyun-soo Cheong (17(2) - 3(1)) who hails from Daejeon, South Korea and Kook-young Son(20 - 6) from Daegu, South Korea.  Both Cheong and Son weighed in at 168 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Hyun-jun Chon, and the three ringside judges are Min-hyeok Ha, Sung-ryong Yoh and Sun-tae Oh.
