Aslan Birand vs Adem Gollu

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Turkey-Istanbul promoted show at Istanbul Altan, Istanbul,  taking place on 02/05/2026:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Turkey Flyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on NTV Spor, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Aslan Birand (17(12) - 5(5)) who hails from Istanbul, Turkey and Adem Gollu(16 - 4(1) - 1) from Istanbul, Turkey.  Both Birand and Gollu weighed in at 112 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Omer Soracaz, and the three ringside judges are Bayram Atan, Kudret Gollu and Deniz Saygi.  

Round 1: 

Birand closes the distance and lands a left uppercut to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  
Gollu switches the action to the outside and snaps his opponents head back with a solid jab.  
Birand lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  He follows up the attack and lands a left uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  Birand ties up his opponent.  Birand is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Birand is looking to close the distance and digs in a firm right hook to Gollu's body.  Birand clinches his opponent.  As they grapple, Birand pushes his forearm into Gollu's face.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Birand to stop fouling.  
Birand lands a right hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents body.  
Gollu tries to land a jab, but Birand slips the shot and counters with a firm right hook.  
Birand steps inside and connects with a sharp left uppercut.  Birand ties up his opponent.  Birand tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Gollu behind the head. The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Birand about fouling.  
Birand closes the distance and lands a left uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  He then lands a right hook to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  
Birand is on target with a right hook.  
Birand closes the distance and digs in a firm left hook to Gollu's body.  
Gollu tries to keep the action at long range and tries to land a jab, but Birand sidesteps and counters with a left hook to his opponents body.  
Birand closes the distance and manouvers Gollu onto the ropes.  Birand lands two right hooks to the body, and one to the head.  
Birand lands two right hooks to the body, and one to the head.  
Birand lands a straight 1 - 2.  
Birand closes the distance and is on target with a forceful right hook.  GOLLU WAS STUNNED BY THAT SHOT!  Gollu almost instantly gets his legs back. 
Birand lands a left uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents body, AND GOLLU IS KNOCKED DOWN!  He is back up on his feet at 7.  
Birand gets on the inside and lands a left uppercut followed by  two left hooks to his opponents body.  
Birand connects with a CRUSHING left uppercut.  IT LOOKS LIKE GOLLU WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!  Birand wants to work on the inside, but accidentally clashes heads with his opponent!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Gollu dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Birand manouvers his opponent into a neutral corner.  Some sustained pressure from Birand could be enough to finish Gollu!  Birand lands a cross to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  He then lands a right hook followed by a cross to his opponents head, DROPPING GOLLU TO THE CANVAS!  He isnt going to beat the count!  The winner by KO is Birand!
