Boxing Daily Report from the Hacopyan Promotions promoted show at Kampala Saah, Kampala,  taking place on 02/05/2026:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a mandatory fight for the Uganda Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on UTV, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are John Kabumba (16(1) - 5(2)) who hails from Kampala, Uganda and Gareth Bhimji(11 - 0 - 2) from Kampala, Uganda.  Both Kabumba and Bhimji weighed in at 147 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Zachary Akiibua, and the three ringside judges are Tavarius Tebazaalwa, Rehman Madani and Tavarius Tebazaalwa.
