Majid Bahri vs Khalid Abed

Boxing Daily Report from the AI UAE-Ash Shariqah promoted show at Jawad Hashemi Gym, Sharjah,  taking place on 30/04/2026:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the UAE-Ash Shariqah Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Majid Bahri (9 - 5 - 3) who hails from Sharjah, UAE and Khalid Abed(15 - 3) from Sharjah, UAE.  Bahri weighed in at 146 pounds and 9 ounces, while Abed weighed in at 147 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Saad Hamady, and the three ringside judges are Zain Warraq, Zain Ibrahim and Danyaal Naguib.  

Round 1: 

Abed steps inside.  Abed quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Abed is on target with a left hook to his opponents body.  Abed ties up his opponent.  Abed leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Abed gets on the inside and connects with a right hook.  
Abed lands a right uppercut to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  
Abed closes the distance and walks Bahri into a corner.  Abed lands a left hook to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  
Abed steps to the outside and is on target with a stinging cross.  
Abed gets on the inside and hits home with a left uppercut.  Abed attempts to land a right hook, but Bahri blocks the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Bahri steps to the outside.  Abed lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Abed advances into close range and is on target with a right hook.  Abed ties up his opponent.  Abed pushes his forearm into Bahri's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Abed about fouling.

Bahri closes the distance and throws a right uppercut, but Abed holds on to his opponent.  Abed uses his free hand to throw a hook, but it hits Bahri behind the head. Abed is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.

The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Bahri dabs at his face checking for damage.    It looks like the clash of heads has caused some damage to Bahri.  That has caused slight swelling  around the left eye.
