Oscar Apted vs Cole Eynon

Boxing Daily Report from the AI USA-California promoted show at Los Angeles Thrift, Los Angeles,  taking place on 02/05/2026:

Clearly AI USA-California have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the USA-California Light Heavyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Oscar Apted (9 - 6 - 6) who hails from Modesto, USA and Cole Eynon(11 - 4 - 1) from Chula Vista, USA.  Both Apted and Eynon weighed in at 175 pounds.  
The referee tonight is David Moreman, and the three ringside judges are Patrick Barro, Darryl Bruce and Robert Christopher.  

Round 1: 

Apted closes the distance.  Eynon attempts to land a left uppercut, but Apted sidesteps and counters with a right uppercut.  
Apted switches the action to the outside and is on target with a jab.  
Apted is on target with an overhand right.  
Apted connects with a cross.  
Apted gets on the inside and lands a left hook.  
Eynon drives a left uppercut into his opponents body.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Eynon's trainer is advising how he could be more accurate.  Eynon's trainer is telling his fighter he is being outworked and needs to throw more.

Apted gets on the inside and throws a left hook, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a right hook.  
Eynon tries to step out of his opponents range.  Apted throws a jab, but his opponent dodges the shot and counters with a cross.

Apted wants to work on the inside, but accidentally clashes heads with his opponent!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Eynon dabs at his face checking for damage.  Eynon has come off worse after that clash of heads.  That has caused minor swelling  around the right eye.

Eynon manages to force Apted onto the ropes.  Eynon sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Apted is on target with a right hook.  Apted attempts to land a left hook, but Eynon blocks the shot and counters with a left uppercut.
