Kyrone Mahachi vs Leeroy Masunda

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Zimbabwe-Bulawayo promoted show at Bulawayo Mutsekwa, Bulawayo,  taking place on 03/05/2026:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Zimbabwe-Bulawayo Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Joy TV, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Kyrone Mahachi (9 - 7 - 2) who hails from Bulawayo, Zimbabwe and Leeroy Masunda(4 - 10 - 4) from Bulawayo, Zimbabwe.  Both Mahachi and Masunda weighed in at 147 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Rashon Mambare, and the three ringside judges are Matt Quilliam, Jacob Chindungwe and Kaleb Muzanenhamo.

As Mahachi tries to work on the inside, the fighters heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Masunda dabs at his face checking for damage.    It looks like the clash of heads has caused some damage to Masunda.  That has caused slight swelling  around the left eye.
