Kenji Namba vs Takeo Akiyama

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Japan-Kanagawa promoted show at Japan-Kanagawa Gym, Yokohama,  taking place on 09/04/2026:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 4 round matchup are Kenji Namba (1 - 0) who hails from Nagoya, Japan and Takeo Akiyama(0 - 2 - 2) from Koshigaya, Japan.  Namba weighed in at 111 pounds and 14 ounces, while Akiyama weighed in at 112 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Kei Katayama, and the three ringside judges are Satoru Shimabukuro, Goro Sugita and Hisao Sone.

Namba digs in a left hook to his opponents liver.  Namba clinches his opponent.  Namba is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Namba about fouling.
