Matthew McCormick vs Rashid Wardi

Boxing Daily Report from the Mr. Vicious promoted show at Madison Square Garden, New York City,  taking place on 01/05/2026:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  On the line tonight is the WRBC Youth Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on MSG Network, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Matthew McCormick (16(2) - 1) who hails from Dublin, Ireland and Rashid Wardi(13 - 4(1)) from Sana'a, Yemen.  Both McCormick and Wardi weighed in at 147 pounds.
