Nick Skiver vs Owen Simpson

Boxing Daily Report from the Golden Star Promotions promoted show at New York City Cooney, New York City,  taking place on 02/05/2026:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the USA-Mid Atlantic Super Middleweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Nick Skiver (12 - 1 - 1(NC)) who hails from New York City, USA and Owen Simpson(17 - 0) from Philadelphia, USA.  Both Skiver and Simpson weighed in at 168 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Rob Abbey, and the three ringside judges are Mike Robb, Matthew Cumbie and Rob Abbey.  

Round 1: 

Simpson lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Skiver quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  
Simpson advances into close range.  Skiver lands a left uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents head.
