Bature Ejiro vs Nicholas Akinyede

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Nigeria-Borno State promoted show at Maiduguri Sharaf, Maiduguri,  taking place on 02/05/2026:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the Nigeria-Borno State Super Featherweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Bature Ejiro (11 - 3) who hails from Maiduguri, Nigeria and Nicholas Akinyede(11 - 3) from Maiduguri, Nigeria.  Ejiro weighed in at 129 pounds and 2 ounces, while Akinyede weighed in at 130 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Thompson Ezenwaka, and the three ringside judges are Mohsin Kassem, Zain Faraj and Irfan Rahaim.
