Boxing Daily Report from the Harare Boxing Club promoted show at Harare Sadiki, Harare,  taking place on 05/05/2026:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a mandatory fight for the Zimbabwe Light Heavyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Joy TV, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Declan Vermeulen (13(1) - 3) who hails from Harare, Zimbabwe and Corey Chipeta(11 - 3) from Bulawayo, Zimbabwe.  Vermeulen weighed in at 174 pounds And 12 ounces, while Chipeta weighed in at 174 pounds And 15 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Chris Phiri, and the three ringside judges are Connor Sadomba, Jasper Nengomasha and Makalo Ncube.
