Carlo Papapietro vs Mariano Buglio

Boxing Daily Report from the Cestrian promotions promoted show at Tendastrisce, Rome,  taking place on 08/06/2026:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Italy-Lazio Cruiserweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Eurosport Italia, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Carlo Papapietro (8 - 4 - 1) who hails from Rome, Italy and Mariano Buglio(6 - 9 - 4) from Rome, Italy.  Both Papapietro and Buglio weighed in at 200 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Marco Bernardini, and the three ringside judges are Liberatore De Vita, Gianfranco Palomba and Adolfo Crocetta.  

Round 1: 

Buglio advances into close range and walks his opponent down, trapping him on the ropes.  Buglio attempts to land a right hook, but Papapietro slips the shot and counters with a left hook.
