Imran Taheri vs Fresco Balles

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Colombia-Atlantico promoted show at Coliseo Elias Chegwin, Barranquilla,  taking place on 05/05/2026:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Imran Taheri (5 - 0) who hails from Constantine, Algeria and Fresco Balles(1 - 7 - 2) from Barranquilla, Colombia.  Taheri weighed in at 107 pounds and 9 ounces, while Balles weighed in at 108 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Joaquin Matas, and the three ringside judges are Ramirez Palomar, Jose Alba and Joaquin Villasenor.
