Saad Gerges vs Aftab Taheri

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Saudi Arabia-West promoted show at Mecca Maloof, Mecca,  taking place on 10/05/2026:

Clearly AI Saudi Arabia-West have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Saudi Arabia-West Middleweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Saad Gerges (11 - 2 - 4) who hails from Mecca, Saudi Arabia and Aftab Taheri(14 - 4 - 5) from Mecca, Saudi Arabia.  Gerges weighed in at 159 pounds and 6 ounces, while Taheri weighed in at 160 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Kashif Betar, and the three ringside judges are Syed Farha, Kamran Bal and Syed Jawahir.
