James Sarr vs Jawad Nasiri

Boxing Daily Report from the Gold Coast Promotions promoted show at Fair Expo Center Sunshine Pavilion, Miami,  taking place on 29/05/2026:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the USA Cruiserweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are James Sarr (14(1) - 0 - 1) who hails from Birmingham, USA and Jawad Nasiri(11(6) - 6(2)) from Salt Lake City, USA.  Sarr weighed in at 200 pounds, while Nasiri weighed in at 199 pounds And 13 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Edmundo Celio, and the three ringside judges are Dave Kay, Paul Romans and Fanuco Onate.  

Round 1: 

Sarr steps inside and lands a left hook to the head followed by a right uppercut to the body.  
Sarr lands a solid cross.  
Nasiri steps to the outside and hits the target with a hard jab.  
Sarr pivots to the left of his opponent and lands a right hook to the head, a left uppercut to the body and a left hook to the head.  
Sarr manages to force Nasiri onto the ropes.  Sarr lands a right hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents body.  
Sarr tries to land a left hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a right uppercut to Sarr's ribs.  
Sarr advances into close range and lands two right hooks to the body, and one to the head.  
Sarr digs in a firm left hook to Nasiri's body.  
Sarr finds the target with a jab.  Sarr attempts to land a jab, but Nasiri sidesteps and counters with a solid right hook.  
Nasiri is on target with a jab.  
Sarr pivots from in front of his opponent.  Nasiri lands two straights followed by a jab to his opponents head.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  
Nasiri thinks he can end the show early....he's looking to put Sarr away.  Nasiri lands a left uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  He follows up the attack and lands a left hook, right uppercut and a left uppercut to his opponents head.  
Nasiri lands a right uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents head, AND DROPS SARR!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 5.  It looks like Sarr has now recovered from that shot earlier.  
Nasiri connects with a left uppercut.  
Sarr advances into close range and drives a stinging right hook into Nasiri's body.  
Nasiri steps away from his opponent and lands with a ramrod jab.  
Nasiri is looking to keep his distance and lands a stinging cross.  
Nasiri lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.  He follows up the attack and lands a cross followed by a right uppercut to his opponents head, AND DROPS SARR!  He beats the count, getting up at 8.  
Nasiri is really starting to turn up the heat!  He senses a stoppage here.  Nasiri lands a DESTRUCTIVE left hook.  SARR IS DROPPED TO THE CANVAS!  THE REF STOPS THE FIGHT!  HE DOES NOT BELIEVE SARR CAN CONTINUE!  The fight has been stopped!  The winner by TKO is Nasiri!
