Waleed Hmida vs Aftab Abbas

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Algeria-Oran promoted show at Syed Belkaroui Gym, Oran,  taking place on 13/04/2026:

Clearly AI Algeria-Oran have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Algeria-Oran Featherweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Waleed Hmida (9 - 5 - 1) who hails from Oran, Algeria and Aftab Abbas(2 - 5 - 5) from Oran, Algeria.  Both Hmida and Abbas weighed in at 126 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Aftab Mona, and the three ringside judges are Ali Khencheli, Amer Aissou and Asif Salem.
