Ponce Pedro vs Marco Betancourt

Boxing Daily Report from the Nyauza Promotions promoted show at Loredo Nery Gym, Salvador,  taking place on 14/04/2026:

Clearly Nyauza Promotions have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Brazil-Bahia Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Ponce Pedro (8 - 5 - 2) who hails from Salvador, Brazil and Marco Betancourt(5 - 2) from Salvador, Brazil.  Pedro weighed in at 134 pounds and 4 ounces, while Betancourt weighed in at 134 pounds and 12 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Rogelio Coutinho, and the three ringside judges are Onofre Meneses, Vicente Pimentel and Ora Gomes.
