Juan Laurel vs Carlos Onate

Boxing Daily Report from the Chibawe Promotions promoted show at Maracay Fama, Maracay,  taking place on 12/05/2026:

Clearly Chibawe Promotions have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Venezuela-Aragua Super Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Juan Laurel (3 - 4 - 3) who hails from Maracay, Venezuela and Carlos Onate(9 - 3 - 4) from Maracay, Venezuela.  Both Laurel and Onate weighed in at 140 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Montel Verdin, and the three ringside judges are Alejandro Laurel, Ricardo Banda and Dimos Fiel.
