Alejandro Cid vs Carlos Amado

Boxing Daily Report from the Bolivar Fighting promoted show at Fresco Capon Gym, Magangue,  taking place on 15/04/2026:

Clearly Bolivar Fighting have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Colombia-Bolivar Super Featherweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Alejandro Cid (4 - 6 - 4) who hails from Magangue, Colombia and Carlos Amado(3 - 5 - 2 - 1(NC)) from Cartagena, Colombia.  Cid weighed in at 129 pounds and 13 ounces, while Amado weighed in at 130 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Vicente Telleria, and the three ringside judges are Rico Costilla, Neper Eusebio and Eloy Celestino.  

Round 1: 

Cid lands a left hook.  As Cid tries to work on the inside, the fighters heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Amado dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Amado feints a jab, tricking Cid into throwing a left uppercut counter.  Amado avoids the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Amado steps inside.  Cid lands a right uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
Cid steps inside and connects with a left hook.  
Cid hits home with a left uppercut.  
Amado closes the distance.  Amado goes for the bodyshot, but lands south of the border!  The ref ignores Cid's complaints and signals for the action to continue.
