Boxing Daily Report from the AI Nigeria-Edo State promoted show at Benin City Odegbami, Benin City,  taking place on 14/05/2026:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Western African Super Bantamweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on AIT Sports, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are John Girei (11(1) - 4) who hails from Benin City, Nigeria and Tyson Romand(15(2) - 2) from Abidjan, Ivory Coast.  Girei weighed in at 122 pounds, while Romand weighed in at 121 pounds and 14 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Yakubu Ezeifekaibeya, and the three ringside judges are Amer Halaby, John Okri and Amer Halaby.
