Boxing Daily Report from the Gold Coast Promotions promoted show at Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre, Gold Coast,  taking place on 29/05/2026:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Australia-Queensland Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are James Blaney (7 - 11 - 4) who hails from Brisbane, Australia and Bruce MacNab(6 - 7 - 3) from Brisbane, Australia.  Blaney weighed in at 146 pounds And 11 ounces, while MacNab weighed in at 147 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Mel Culp, and the three ringside judges are Ewan Duffy, Inigo Craigen and Ian Corrie.
