Andrii Zalaiskalns vs Kir Kovalik

Boxing Daily Report from the Latvia Boxing promoted show at Skonto Hall, Riga,  taking place on 30/05/2026:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Andrii Zalaiskalns (16(1) - 2 - 1) who hails from Riga, Latvia and Kir Kovalik(6 - 12 - 2) from Minsk, Belarus.  Zalaiskalns weighed in at 134 pounds and 5 ounces, while Kovalik weighed in at 134 pounds and 12 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Vikenti Vecvanags, and the three ringside judges are Aleksei Ubags, Viktor Gargailis and Borya Kede.
