Gazi Latif vs David Saomba

Boxing Daily Report from the Harare Boxing Club promoted show at Mbare Netball Complex, Harare,  taking place on 13/05/2026:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the African Super Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Joy TV, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Gazi Latif (22(10) - 3(3)) who hails from Kumasi, Ghana and David Saomba(12 - 2(1)) from Harare, Zimbabwe.  Both Latif and Saomba weighed in at 140 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Quintavius Mubako, and the three ringside judges are Josh Tiripano, Michael Chipeta and Dillon Mutasa.  

Round 1:
