Michi Yamamoto vs Iwao Noguchi

Boxing Daily Report from the ノックアウトボクシング promoted show at ノックアウトボクシング Gym, Osaka,  taking place on 23/04/2026:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 6 round matchup are Michi Yamamoto (1 - 0) who hails from Fujisawa, Japan and Iwao Noguchi(1 - 2) from Nagoya, Japan.  Both Yamamoto and Noguchi weighed in at 154 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Yoshi Nakano, and the three ringside judges are Shinji Iseri, Hiro Kamei and Aoi Ohno.  

Round 1: 

Yamamoto lands a jab followed by  two straights to his opponents head.  
Yamamoto closes the distance and lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  
Yamamoto pivots to the right of his opponent and lands two straights followed by a right uppercut to his opponents head.  
Yamamoto closes the distance and manouvers his opponent into the red corner.  Yamamoto sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Yamamoto lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  Yamamoto throws a right hook, but his opponent parries the shot and counters with a cross.  
Yamamoto pivots to the side of his opponent and lands a right hook to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  
Yamamoto lands a right uppercut, right hook and a left uppercut to his opponents head.  Yamamoto ties up his opponent.  Yamamoto is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref breaks Yamamoto's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Yamamoto switches the action to the outside.  Noguchi attempts to land a jab, but Yamamoto slips the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Yamamoto tries to step out of his opponents range and connects with a cross.

Yamamoto gets on the inside.  As Yamamoto tries to work on the inside, the fighters heads come together!  The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.  Noguchi has come off worse after that clash of heads.  That has caused slight swelling  around the left eye.  
Yamamoto sidesteps to the left of his opponent and hits home with a right hook.  
Yamamoto is looking to keep his distance and lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  
Yamamoto lands a cross to the head, a left uppercut to the body and a cross to the head.
