Russel Halley vs Vermont Trzeguet

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Cameroon-Centre promoted show at Sorrel Etonge Gym, Yaoundé,  taking place on 16/05/2026:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Cameroon-Centre Light Heavyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Russel Halley (11 - 9 - 3) who hails from Yaoundé, Cameroon and Vermont Trzeguet(4 - 10 - 2) from Yaoundé, Cameroon.  Halley weighed in at 174 pounds and 15 ounces, while Trzeguet weighed in at 174 pounds and 1 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Quincy de Musset, and the three ringside judges are Paris Bong, Ross Beaudin and Glanville Drucker.  

Round 1: 

Halley lands an overhand right followed by a cross to his opponents head.  
Trzeguet throws a jab, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a cross.  
Halley switches the action to the outside and lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  
Halley drops his guard, and stalks his opponent...he wants his opponent to throw a shot.  Trzeguet tries to land a jab, but Halley dodges the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Halley quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a cross.  
Halley is looking to keep his distance and tries to land a jab, but Trzeguet slips the shot and counters with a right uppercut.
