Diego Marques vs Carlos Canales

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Costa Rica-San Jose promoted show at Neper Calvo Gym, San Jose,  taking place on 16/05/2026:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Costa Rica-San Jose Cruiserweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Diego Marques (3 - 3 - 1) who hails from San Jose, Costa Rica and Carlos Canales(5 - 2 - 1) from San Jose, Costa Rica.  Marques weighed in at 200 pounds, while Canales weighed in at 198 pounds and 15 ounces.
