Federico Oropeza vs Joaquin Alviar

Boxing Daily Report from the Ruzgeryan Promotions promoted show at Santo Domingo de Guz Almeda, Santo Domingo de Guzman,  taking place on 17/05/2026:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Dominican Republic-Distrito Nacional Heavyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Federico Oropeza (9 - 5) who hails from Santo Domingo de Guzman, Dominican Republic and Joaquin Alviar(11 - 6 - 2) from Santo Domingo de Guzman, Dominican Republic.  Oropeza weighed in at 249 pounds and 2 ounces, while Alviar weighed in at 247 pounds and 10 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Ivan Vasques, and the three ringside judges are Gonzalo Bosque, Rogelio Sagun and Paco Cantero.
