Desiderio Bolanos vs Nicandro Sibila

Boxing Daily Report from the Mufwembe Promotions promoted show at Santo Domingo Oeste Lorenzo, Santo Domingo Oeste,  taking place on 17/05/2026:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a mandatory fight for the Dominican Republic-Santo Domingo Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on CERTV, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Desiderio Bolanos (12(1) - 1 - 1) who hails from Santo Domingo Este, Dominican Republic and Nicandro Sibila(17 - 1 - 1) from Santo Domingo Oeste, Dominican Republic.  Both Bolanos and Sibila weighed in at 135 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Javier Renteria, and the three ringside judges are Edmundo Tesoro, Porfio Puerto and Carlos Acosta.
