Jun Shimomura vs Daichi Niwa

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Japan-Chiba promoted show at Matsudo Kanemoto, Matsudo,  taking place on 30/05/2026:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  On the line tonight is the Japan-Tokyo Heavyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Jun Shimomura (19 - 5 - 1) who hails from Tokyo, Japan and Daichi Niwa(12 - 6 - 2) from Hachioji, Japan.  Shimomura weighed in at 242 pounds and 15 ounces, while Niwa weighed in at 244 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Goro Mori, and the three ringside judges are Nori Ashikaga, Takeo Kuwahara and Kei Eto.
