Edmondo Ceci vs Gianluca Balbo

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Italy-Sicily promoted show at Catania Pesce, Catania,  taking place on 21/04/2026:

Clearly AI Italy-Sicily have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Italy-Sicily Cruiserweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Edmondo Ceci (9 - 8 - 4) who hails from Palermo, Italy and Gianluca Balbo(7 - 13(1) - 2) from Messina, Italy.  Both Ceci and Balbo weighed in at 200 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Fabrizio Bernacchi, and the three ringside judges are Mario Battaglia, Gianmarco Folena and Arturo Bongiorno.
