Aimon Ruiz vs Juan Alderete

Boxing Daily Report from the Rourke & Salvador promoted show at Sheraton Santiago Hotel and Convention Center, Santiago,  taking place on 24/05/2026:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Aimon Ruiz (4(1) - 0) who hails from Viba del Mar, Chile and Juan Alderete(3 - 4 - 1) from Antofagasta, Chile.  Both Ruiz and Alderete weighed in at 140 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Fanuco Sison, and the three ringside judges are Fanuco Sison, Kiki Vigorito and Alejandro Cossio.  

Round 1: 

Ruiz quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Alderete lands a jab.  
Ruiz closes the distance and drives a right uppercut into his opponents body.  Ruiz ties up his opponent.  Ruiz pushes his forearm into Alderete's face.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Ruiz to stop fouling.

Ruiz gets on the inside and lands a right hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents body.  
Ruiz cuts off the ring, trapping Alderete in a corner.  Ruiz hits home with a firm right hook.

Alderete pivots to the side of his opponent.  Alderete throws a right hook, but Ruiz ties up his opponent.  Ruiz tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Alderete behind the head. The referee breaks the clinch and warns Ruiz to stop fouling.  
Ruiz hits home with an overhand right.  
Ruiz is on target with a left hook.  
Ruiz steps inside and drives a left hook into his opponents ribs.  
Alderete feints a jab, and then connects with a left hook.  
Ruiz gets on the inside and connects with a left hook.

Alderete attempts to land a left hook, but Ruiz sidesteps and counters with a left hook.  
Ruiz lands a right uppercut followed by a left uppercut to his opponents body.
