Shamus Kelly vs Aaron Burns

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Ireland-Leinster promoted show at Dublin Casey, Dublin,  taking place on 22/05/2026:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Irish-Leinster Super Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Shamus Kelly (9 - 8 - 1) who hails from Dublin, Ireland and Aaron Burns(9 - 7 - 4) from Dublin, Ireland.  Kelly weighed in at 140 pounds, while Burns weighed in at 139 pounds And 14 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Conor Whalen, and the three ringside judges are Fionn Donnell, Shane MacNevin and Roy Spalding.

Burns pivots from in front of his opponent and hits home with a left uppercut.

Burns retreats back to the ropes, and waits for his opponent to attack.  Kelly tries to land a cross, but Burns slips the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Kelly feints a jab, and then lands a cross.  
Kelly closes the distance and lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Kelly sidesteps to the right of his opponent and connects with a left uppercut.  
At the end of Round 2, lets listen in on the corners...Burns's trainer is advising how he could be more accurate.
