Des Leamon vs Dom Mulherin

Boxing Daily Report from the All Talk Promotions promoted show at All Gym, Dublin,  taking place on 16/05/2026:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 8 round matchup are Des Leamon (2 - 0) who hails from Cardiff, UK and Dom Mulherin(2 - 0) from London, UK.  Both Leamon and Mulherin weighed in at 154 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Mark McClellan, and the three ringside judges are Paul MacKenna, Fionn Donnell and Ross Gauld.  

Round 1: 

Leamon is looking to close the distance.  Leamon lands a left hook to the body, a right hook to the head and a left hook to the body.  
Leamon cuts off the ring, trapping Mulherin in the corner.  Mulherin attempts to land a right uppercut, but Leamon blocks the shot and counters with a sharp cross.

Leamon pivots to the left of his opponent and lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Mulherin advances into close range.  Leamon is on target with a left hook.  
Mulherin throws a right hook, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a right uppercut.  
Mulherin sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Leamon drives a left hook into Mulherin's body.  
Leamon lands with a stinging jab.

Mulherin gets on the inside.  Leamon pivots to the right of his opponent and lands a left uppercut to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  
Leamon pivots to the left of his opponent and lands a left uppercut to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  The two boxers are fighting in-close, but their heads clash!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Mulherin dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Mulherin is looking to close the distance.  Leamon sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands a right hook to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  
Leamon lands two right hooks to the body, and one to the head.  
Leamon pivots to the right of his opponent.  Leamon lands a left hook to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  Leamon clinches his opponent.  Leamon hits his opponent with a kidney shot within the clinch. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.

The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Mulherin dabs at his face checking for damage.  Mulherin has come off worse after that clash of heads.  That has caused swelling  around the left eye.
