Mikio Sakurai vs Fumio Koyama

Boxing Daily Report from the Pearlnew Promotions promoted show at Tokyo Big Sight, Tokyo,  taking place on 15/06/2026:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Japan Super Bantamweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Mikio Sakurai (15 - 0) who hails from Yokohama, Japan and Fumio Koyama(13 - 7(1) - 2) from Kawasaki, Japan.  Sakurai weighed in at 122 pounds, while Koyama weighed in at 121 pounds And 7 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Yuichi Abe, and the three ringside judges are Michi Uyehara, Hideki Ishibashi and Akira Kishimoto.
