Boxing Daily Report from the AI Malaysia-Johor promoted show at Amjad Haider Gym, Johor Bahru,  taking place on 26/05/2026:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Malaysia-Johor Featherweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are David May (9 - 2) who hails from Johor Bahru, Malaysia and Tariq Basher(10 - 9 - 4) from Johor Bahru, Malaysia.  May weighed in at 125 pounds And 4 ounces, while Basher weighed in at 126 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Obaid Diab, and the three ringside judges are Saad Hassan, Rehan Sabet and Farhan Younis.  

Round 1: 

May sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Basher is on target with a left hook to May's liver.
