Franco Candelaria vs Edmundo Junco

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Mexico-Nuevo Leon promoted show at Guadalupe Borbon, Guadalupe,  taking place on 26/05/2026:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a mandatory fight for the Mexico-Nuevo Leon Super Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on TVC Deportes, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Franco Candelaria (19 - 1(1)) who hails from San Nicolas de los Garza, Mexico and Edmundo Junco(7 - 6) from Guadalupe, Mexico.  Candelaria weighed in at 140 pounds, while Junco weighed in at 139 pounds And 10 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Santiago Fuertes, and the three ringside judges are Frisco Maya, Guido Castilla and Angel Capistran.
