Saturnin Mena vs Leonardo Geronimo

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Philippines-Laguna promoted show at Calamba Gapuz, Calamba,  taking place on 28/04/2026:

Clearly AI Philippines-Laguna have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Philippines-Laguna Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Saturnin Mena (13 - 3) who hails from San Pablo, Philippines and Leonardo Geronimo(11 - 4 - 2) from Santa Rosa, Philippines.  Both Mena and Geronimo weighed in at 135 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Ivan Talaro, and the three ringside judges are Nemesio Castrillo, Neper Langkin and Alfonso Baybay.  

Round 1: 

Mena advances into close range.  As the two fighters work on the inside, their heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Mena dabs at his face checking for damage.
