Edward Tyson vs Mark Copland

Boxing Daily Report from the Gold Coast Promotions promoted show at Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre, Gold Coast,  taking place on 29/05/2026:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Australia-Queensland Light Heavyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Edward Tyson (2 - 7 - 3) who hails from Brisbane, Australia and Mark Copland(2 - 1 - 1) from Brisbane, Australia.  Tyson weighed in at 175 pounds and 10 ounces, while Copland weighed in at 175 pounds.    As Tyson came in over the weight limit, only his opponent will be able to compete for the final eliminator position tonight.  
The referee tonight is Mel Culp, and the three ringside judges are Ewan Duffy, Inigo Craigen and Ian Corrie.
