Ponce Laurel vs Juan Matubis

Boxing Daily Report from the Agnozzi Promotions promoted show at Diego Cervera Gym, Pagadian,  taking place on 29/05/2026:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Philippines-Zamboanga del Sur Super Bantamweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Ponce Laurel (12 - 9 - 1) who hails from Zamboanga City, Philippines and Juan Matubis(6 - 7(1)) from Zamboanga City, Philippines.  Both Laurel and Matubis weighed in at 122 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Pedro Metro, and the three ringside judges are Ponce Mabaquiao, Santiago Ferro and Tajo Manguino.  

Round 1: 

Matubis sidesteps to the right of his opponent and is on target with a cross.  
Matubis steps away from his opponent.  Laurel lands a cross.  
Laurel finds the target with a jab.  
Matubis pivots from in front of his opponent and connects with a left hook.
