Alejandro Merino vs Neron Calderon

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Uruguay-Montevideo promoted show at Nicandro Bea Gym, Montevideo,  taking place on 02/05/2026:

Clearly AI Uruguay-Montevideo have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Uruguay Featherweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Alejandro Merino (6 - 9 - 4) who hails from Montevideo, Uruguay and Neron Calderon(9 - 0) from Montevideo, Uruguay.  Both Merino and Calderon weighed in at 126 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Berto Beltre, and the three ringside judges are Beltran Aquino, Reyes Olmedo and Manuel Truan.

Calderon pivots to the side of his opponent and lands a double jab to his opponents head.
