Sergey Tolemissow vs Georgiy Abushev

Boxing Daily Report from the Zungu Promotions promoted show at Samarqand Babaev, Samarqand,  taking place on 02/05/2026:

Clearly Zungu Promotions have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Uzbekistan-Samarqand Light Flyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Sergey Tolemissow (4 - 12 - 3) who hails from Samarqand, Uzbekistan and Georgiy Abushev(3 - 5 - 1) from Samarqand, Uzbekistan.  Tolemissow weighed in at 108 pounds, while Abushev weighed in at 107 pounds And 12 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Mirza Khawaja, and the three ringside judges are Yusif Humbatov, Aleksei Gadzhibabekov and Seyfulla Aliev.  

Round 1: 

Abushev steps inside and manouvers Tolemissow into the corner.  Tolemissow throws an uppercut to the body, but lands well below the belt!  The ref stops the action and gives Abushev time to recover.
