Jose Ballon vs Joaquin Cerrillo

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Venezuela-Aragua promoted show at Santiago Soriano Gym, Turmero,  taking place on 02/05/2026:

Clearly AI Venezuela-Aragua have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Venezuela-Aragua Featherweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Jose Ballon (8 - 1) who hails from Maracay, Venezuela and Joaquin Cerrillo(5 - 1) from Turmero, Venezuela.  Both Ballon and Cerrillo weighed in at 126 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Jose Rafael, and the three ringside judges are Alejandro Laurel, Alejandro Laurel and Fidel Guiterrez.
