Michi Yamamoto vs Taro Ando

Boxing Daily Report from the ノックアウトボクシング promoted show at ノックアウトボクシング Gym, Osaka,  taking place on 15/05/2026:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 6 round matchup are Michi Yamamoto (2 - 0) who hails from Fujisawa, Japan and Taro Ando(5 - 2 - 1) from Sendai, Japan.  Yamamoto weighed in at 153 pounds And 12 ounces, while Ando weighed in at 154 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Naoki Shiraki, and the three ringside judges are Naoki Koyama, Raiden Yamamura and Takeo Hora.  

Round 1: 

Yamamoto connects with a left hook.

Yamamoto gets on the inside and is on target with a left hook.  Yamamoto holds on to his opponent.  As they grapple, Yamamoto pushes his forearm into Ando's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Yamamoto about fouling.  
Ando steps away from his opponent and throws a jab, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a firm right hook.
