Matt Curvis vs Brett Sheron

Boxing Daily Report from the AI USA-Utah promoted show at Salt Lake City Maroun, Salt Lake City,  taking place on 30/05/2026:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the USA-Mountain West Super Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Matt Curvis (18(7) - 2(1)) who hails from West Valley City, USA and Brett Sheron(11 - 7 - 4) from Colorado Springs, USA.  Curvis weighed in at 139 pounds and 12 ounces, while Sheron weighed in at 140 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Jordan Burke, and the three ringside judges are Michael Faul, Kian Ord and Rhod Gubay.  

Round 1: 

Curvis closes the distance and hits home with a left uppercut.  
Curvis walks his opponent onto the ropes.  Curvis pivots to the side of his opponent.  Sheron throws a right hook, but Curvis holds on to his opponent.  Curvis tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Sheron behind the head. Curvis is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. Curvis is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref separates the two fighters.  
Curvis advances into close range and connects with a right hook.  
Curvis steps back and leans on the ropes with his guard up.  Sheron is whaling away with hooks, but Curvis keeps his defence tight.  
Curvis digs in a right hook to Sheron's body.  Curvis holds on to his opponent.  As they grapple, Curvis pushes his forearm into Sheron's face.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Curvis.  
Curvis lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  He continues the combination and lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Sheron sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Curvis lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  He continues the combination and lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  
Curvis lands with a hard jab.
